Okay, it's pretty darn pathetic how ridiculously proud of myself I am for keeping up with our December Daily for two days straight. Just think how I'll feel if I actually make it through all 25. Yeah, yeah--no need getting ahead of myself now, is there? :P
(Day 2)
*****
Because he is absolutely as sweet as they come, Chris agreed to Christmas-a-thon with me again this weekend. Either that or he was sick of my whining and just wanted to shut me up. :P My goal is to get the darn Christmas cards made and addressed, do some more wrapping, bake at least two kinds of cookies, and crochet and/or knit my ass off. It's scary to think that there's really only about two weeks left to get gifts finished that must be mailed. No, scary is not a strong enough word...if I counted correctly, I have ten gifts to complete by then. And then a pile more that need to be done by Christmas itself. Will I ever freakin' learn? Ever?
How about you? Are you all prepared for the holidays yet?

That is so like me... with the number of presents that you have left to complete! Cool DD too!
the arrangements you do on those pages are outstanding! absolutely gorgeous Debi, you deserve to be proud!
Prepared? Not a chance! I use store-bought cards, one of which is addressed. While at the post office on Thursday mailing your parcel and others, I purchased seasonal stamps. Today I bought the jam (already have the coffee) to go in the breakfast bags I give some friends along with homemade bread. Need to figure out the bread-baking schedule. Bought the wine that goes in other bags with bread and cheese. Have wrapped most of the gifts to be mailed. Blaine is gone next week, and I will get lots of stuff done in his absence.
Oh I love love love this little scrapbook. I remember when you posted about it a few years ago--but I can't even think about trying to keep up with some an idea. ;)
As for me--our tree is up and that's all I can handle right now for decorations. Scott asked me to make stockings, so I've been slowing working on those. I have the backings finished so tonight I'm going to tackle the fronts, which will be machine pieced. Then I'd like to embroider (by hand) our names onto the fleece cuff, but I'm starting to think I'm BATTY. WHY DO WE DO THIS TO OURSELVES? ;)
Anyway, take a few minutes for yourself, k?
Hugs.
Wow, that scrapbook is so cool! Good luck getting prepared for the holidays. I am not even close, but that is nothing new...
I love that book, it is really cool looking. You've definitely got the creative gene. And as my wife and I have both commented on multiple times, you have the most amazing penmanship.
Just enjoy the process! (you asked if I'm ready and I can honestly say no. I have gifts to return and try again. I bought my MIL a robe but got it home and found it has DIRT on it like it was trampled. My fault for not inspecting it. GGrrrrrr then I have to buy another, wrap and ship THEN I'll be a bit more ready)
Merry Everything!
